we go with a brand new season for the Chatham Township Art League. For the first time in our history we have
opened our membership to include artists from Chatham Borough. We are happy to say that 10 residents have
accepted our offer. I think this will
prove to be a wonderful new introduction of people and art to our already
high-quality offerings in our exhibits.
I want to thank

A
book with her illustrations will be released call “My Brain Won’t Flat Away/Mi

A
special note:
Jo
Powers has taken a leave of absence from the board in
order to tend to some personal things at home.
Mark is doing much better after undergoing extensive medical
testing. Jo will be busy getting her
home back in order and taking a well deserved rest from a hectic summer.
A
note from Jo and Mark appears below.
Dear Friends,
Mark
and I are so grateful to all of you for the cards and phone calls expressing
your concern and best wishes. Adversity seems less adverse when others care!
Thank
you, too, for the tower of fruits from CTAL that appeared on our front porch.
There were so many apples, I made an apple pie! The giant pineapple was truly
marvelous. We are lucky to be a part of such a familial group.
With
many thanks and much love, Mark & Jo
We
are hoping that someone will step forward to be the chair of the “Artist of the
Season “ and “Showcase Artist”
The
task would be to contact individuals in the group who might be interested in
displaying 2 pieces of their work in the hallway. The other venue for display
is the showcase which is designed for small works of art or crafts. They can be
displayed for a period of a month or up to a quarter. The artwork, in all cases may be offered for sale.
If
you are interested in the chairmanship or if you would like to display your
work, please contact Gail Logan at :
or 973-635-5036
Gail
is also our publicity chair. She needs
jpg files of your work to have on hand for newspaper articles.
